So I waited quite a while. Really I held myself back for quite a while now before bitching… So finally Suna no Oshiro single came out which is one of the better ending themes of this season. Anyways looking at differen fansubs made me go FFFFFFF because they clearly suck at writing out the lyrics. Here a little comparison of who fails hardest:
Deb, you fucking own! She’s the best fucking character in Dexter without a doubt. The excessive usage of the fuck word and her usual trash talk makes her better than most of the homo-side characters. Also getting caught while fucking in the Ice Truck Killer Arc by Dexter was an even bigger plus. Now if they would only air a House special tomorrow like airing two episodes at once to make up for next week… That would literally own.
What the fuck JC STAFF. No, seriously. Could Toaru Majutsu no Index epi 6 suck even harder? I don’t think so. Seriously was her so super bad-ass attack just a laser beam? Come on guys try harder. Well, I didn’t read the manga but I’m pretty sure it sucks equally. But hey, as the animator studio you can take liberties like GONZO took with Bokurano. It wouldn’t have hurt to add some more action. All Index did was staying there shooting a laser. On top of that, literally like a puppet. She just fell down like a domino when the sword chick took the mat below her feet. Oh well, one show less to keep up this season. Sadly the coming anime season doesn’t have anything promising either. The new Hajime no Ippo seems to be the only decent show so far.
Well, I could have done something more productive like translating anime, finishing the translation of Heureka chapter 2 (it is really kick ass) or translate the last chapter of Satanister volume 1. But no, I got addicted to Galileo. Our protagonist #1 is the guy that makes some Atobe pose when calculating some stuff a la Numb3rs style (yep, they stole imitated that “calculation sequence” from Numb3rs). Protagonist #2 is some partially annoying newbie police officer chick who asks our physics professor for help to solve cases. And no, it’s not so awesome that it crucifies me to my seat. It’s just fun to watch. And the acting is still shitty but entertaining nevertheless. Also the tag line 嘘を突く 謎を解く (see through lies, unveil mysteries) is pretty misleading. Good job on tricking me, though. Note to self: create some anime calendar to keep track of what I’m watching. Yes, fuck this shit. No House! And I’m quite pissed about that. Why the hell did they air a stupid rerun of the liar family episode anyways… So I thought I would go with some Japanese TV-drama instead. I have no idea where I stumbled upon Galileo, but the story sounded pretty promising. Being the big sucker for murder mystery I went ahead and watched episode. And once again I had to witness the shitty acting of the Japanese. So far I haven’t seen a single Japanese movie with good acting. Seriously, go and learn stuff from Hollywood movies. Guess I’ll give it a one or two episodes before dropping it completely as I’ve got nothing better to watch at the moment. Well, I’m no big fan of Shintani Ryoko. And this song sucks just like most of her songs (and the second track Ironical Star sucks even harder). Evidently, I’ve got nothing better to do than transcribe lyrics while sitting at home sneezing all the time orz. Speaking from my own experience, not everyone has mastered the art of playing eroge. While I don’t suck as hard as Satou from NHK! ni Youkoso used to be, I still cannot really get into eroge or visual novels. It has been a week or a bit longer since I started playing Chäos;Head, but I gave up on that pretty quickly (as I kind of expected). So, next I picked up the mystery/murder visual novel, Umineko no Naku Koro ni. Playing the first installment “Legend of the Golden Witch” that came out quite some time ago I was determined to finish it. However… I already stalled it (kind of) where the old geezer refuses coming down to the lunch. In other words still at the beginning. Without even seeing a single dead body or someone go missing. Well of course you kind of lose motivation if nothing happens and they talk and talk and talk about… should I say irrelevant stuff or minor stuff… Well nothing important, that’s for sure. While I’m not really a fast reader, after playing approximately 5 hours and not seeing a single body is quite a let down. Some guy on Animesucky forums claimed that the game could be finished within a day. He has no fucking clue. In fact, I guess he ctrl’ed through the game. On the bright side, I finished couple of short visual novels mostly localized by insani. Perhaps I should replay them in Japanese, though. After going “WHAT THE FUCK THERE IS NO FUCKING WAY THE TEXT IS THAT EMBELLISHED,” and a little reverse engineering I found out that insani tends to write their own stories with the pictures provided by the game. Well, I’ll admit the insani version sounds a bazillion times better than the original Japanese work. However as I may disagree with Agi, a translator’s job is to give the reader the same experience the Japanese (or in which language the text is) has. In my opinion, the translator’s job is to stay invisible, and not write their own stories with a little help of the elements provided by the original author. Before I go more off topic I’ll be moving to eroge now. I seem to do better at playing eroge (I wonder why now). While my track record isn’t astonishing, I finished quite a few titles. Luckily there is VNDB to keep track of stuff. Even though the list is a little incomplete, that’s pretty much everything I played. You can see the good titles with a vote 8 or higher. Not to mention Gekkou no Carnevale is instant win. I remember dedicating my three weeks to finish it and it was worth every single second. The latest eroge I finished months (or a year(?)) ago is 凌母 (Ryoubo) -Maternity Insult-. Awesome title, huh? Yep. Well the story is nothing ground breaking. Kid rejects his stepmother and seeks comfort at some other chicks. Ero content below. 見上げれば星が落ち Full size, do fucking want! ilifin agrees, the joint collaboration song of Kugimiya Rie, Horie Yui and Kitamura Eri-Karakuri- from Toradora OP single fucking chowns. The lyrics make less than zero sense but it’s darn addicting.
